Project Success Sonoma County
Project Success is a student assistance program designed to identify and support students and their families through times of stress. The program focuses on enhancing life skills for students and reducing barriers to academic success by addressing the early stages of high-risk behavior among youth.
How Does It Work?
A Project Success Coordinator is placed at the school to provide a range of services:
- Informing students about alcohol, tobacco and other drugs
- Providing support and services to students experiencing stress
- Teaching about peer pressure, managing anger and coping skills
- Refering students who need additional help to services on campus or in the community
- Partnering with school administrators, teachers and outside agencies to create a safe inviting environment for students
How Do Students Access Services?
- Project Success is a voluntary program
- Many students self-refer
- Others students are referred by peers, parents and faculty
